Since audio streaming typically does not require lots of bandwidth, 2.4G will provide more than adequate speed while offering the advantage of greater distance and signal wall penetration over 5G wifi. While we may offer dual band option in future for flexibility, 2.4G would always offer the superior audio streaming experience assuming both channels are equally occupied.
Please note that your phone/tablet has to be on 2.4G during the setup process. Once the speaker/amplifier is connected to your network, you can control the WifiStream product even if your phone/tablet is connected to the 5G band, assuming both bands are set up on the same network.
