For whole home wifi system, WifiStream device may encounter issue connecting to the network if 2.4G and 5G signals have the same SSID. If so, please either create separate SSIDs or temporarily disable the 5G SSID during setup. Once the WifiStream device is connected to your home network, you may restore the 5G SSID and see if the WifiStream device would maintain its connection to your network. If not, a separate 2.4G SSID must be broadcasted in order for WifiStream to work.

For example, you can use the following steps for Netgear Orbi:

Go to "Advanced Setting" and then "Advanced Wifi Wireless Setting". Uncheck "Enable 5.8GHz SSID" and hit "Apply".

Rerun Setup Wizard on the WifiStream app and the device should correctly connect to your network via the 2.4G SSID.

Once the wizard is done and the device is connected, you may check "Enable 5.8Ghz SSID" and hit "Apply".

Different router manufacturers will have different methods/interface, please contact your router's manufacturer for support on how to create separate SSID for the different wifi bands.
